摘要: The widespread use of unproctored Internet-based testing (UIT) in employment-related assessments has resulted a burgeoning mobile devices to complete these assessments. Coupled with this is concomitant interest UIT-device-type effects, specifically, differences or lack thereof between completed on “mobile” versus “nonmobile” devices. However, there limited theoretical conceptual work that seeks explain the observed effects UIT device type test scores. Consequently, article first presents review extant empirical literature and then, basis that, framework—the structural characteristics/information processing framework—for psychologically conceptualizing effect types assessment framework used previous findings advance testable propositions for future research.
