摘要: Synchronization of spiking activity in neuronal networks is a fundamental process that enables the precise transmission information to drive behavioural responses. In cortical areas, synchronization principal-neuron an effective mechanism for coding regulated by GABA (γ-aminobutyric acid)-ergic interneurons through generation oscillations. Although synchrony has been demonstrated be crucial sensory, motor and cognitive processing, it not investigated at level defined circuits involved control emotional behaviour. Converging evidence indicates fear behaviour dorsomedial prefrontal cortex (dmPFC). This over relies on activation specific projections basolateral complex amygdala (BLA), structure encodes associative memories. However, remains established how temporal achieved circuits. Here we use single-unit recordings optogenetic manipulations behaving mice show expression causally related phasic inhibition parvalbumin (PVINs). Inhibition PVIN disinhibits projection neurons synchronizes their firing resetting local theta oscillations, leading expression. Our results identify two complementary mechanisms mediated PVINs precisely coordinate enhance
