摘要: Samples of sediment and mangrove leaves were collected from Tarut Bay Gurmah Island on the Saudi coast Arabian Gulf. The leaf samples wet-digested. Concentrations 20 elements determined in aliquot using an inductively coupled argon plasma analyzer. Inter-station differences metal concentrations significant (P < 0.05). Sediment contained relatively higher Cd, Co, Cr, Ni, V, Mn Ti than those found Bay. Ba, Cu, Pb Zn sediments both areas (Gurman Bay) comparable. Phosphorus was compared with Island. P probably influenced by agricultural drainage Qateef Oasis discharges municipal wasterwater into also Correlation analyses analytical data revealed that, except for (r = 0.36) Ni 0.31), no significantly 0.05) associated its respective concentration leaves. fixation metals as non-bioavailable forms or physiological adaptation plants to avoid accumulation may be responsible above lack correlation. results this study suggest that nitric acid extractable fraction a poor indicator bioavailability mangroves
