摘要: [1] Accumulation of labile Mn is related to bottom water oxygen concentrations. In this study we investigate the relation between minimum zone (OMZ) intensity and burial in Arabian Sea during late Quaternary. carbonates sediments deep Basin indicate that part basin remained oxygenated for at least last 185 kyr. Sequential leaching showed manganese carbonate enrichments with concentrations up 3750 ppm sediments. These spikes must have formed diagenetically periods increased oxide fluxes basin, associated vertical extension OMZ. This caused remobilization oxides from a previously oxic slope, resulting accumulation basin. relocation evidenced by synchronous depletions organic-rich intervals slope records can thus be used as qualitative proxy reconstruct intermediate oxygenation.
