摘要: European Pharmacopoeia accepts two equivalent species Solidago canadensis L. and S. gigantea Ait. as Goldenrod (Solidaginis herba). We compared phytochemical profile of both from invasive populations in Poland. Further, we vitro antimutagenic antioxidant activities solvent extracts aerial (AP) underground parts (UP). In gigantea, flavonoid was dominated by quercetin glycosides, with quercitrin the major compound. canadensis, kaempferol rutinosides were constituents. Caffeoylquinic acids (CQAs) less diverse 5-CQA a main UP, over 20 putative diterpenoids detected, mostly unidentified. Several CQAs present higher amounts than AP. Antioxidant different between organs, strongest inhibition lipid peroxidation ether ethyl acetate fractions AP (IC50 13.33-16.89 μg/mL) butanol fraction UP = 13.32 μg/mL). Chemical mutagenesis completely inhibited non-polar fractions, but oxidative up to 35% only canadensis. No clear relationship found chemical profiles activity. conclusion, have activity their should be considered quality evaluation. these weeds can also provide potential chemopreventive substances for further studies.
