摘要: OBJECTIVE To explore and document self-reported factors contributing to Indigenous Australians' attendance non-attendance at South Australian public dental clinics. METHODS Semi-structured interviews were conducted with people (18 males 26 females) referred for oral care through the Aboriginal Liaison Program of Dental Service. Thematic analysis was performed on 44 transcribed conversations a conceptual model developed. RESULTS Persons completing all recommended treatment reported high self-efficacy, health literacy, social cohesion previous use services presence advocate. Those some achieving desired outcome relief pain or system-level barriers completion. reporting accessing no in contrast varied complex care. CONCLUSION AND IMPLICATIONS Differences both individual service-related evident. Individual-level related control. Service availability an advocate, service delivery, culture. Practical service-level changes may alleviate effects individual-level factors.
