Simultaneous adsorption of aniline and Cr(VI) ion by activated carbon/chitosan composite

摘要: Activated carbon/chitosan composite has been used as an adsorbent to remove aniline and Cr(VI) ions from aqueous solutions simultaneously. The effects of preparation conditions such the ratio activated carbon chitosan, crosslinking reagents, time, adsorption including dosage, pH value solution, contact time on simultaneous ion were investigated. Experimental results showed that epichlorohydrin was proper reagent, chitosan kept at 1. When dosage 4.0 g/L, concentrations lower than 50 100 mg/L, respectively, both simultaneously removed natural with high removals (>95%). presence enhanced aniline, while almost had no influence Cr(VI). processes followed pseudo-second-order kinetics model, but sorption preferential by this composite. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
