摘要: A titanium-based composite coating reinforced by in situ synthesized TiB and TiC particles was fabricated on Ti6Al4V laser cladding. The microstructure mechanical properties were investigated. mainly composed of α-Ti cellular dendrites an eutectic which a large number rod/needle-shaped few equiaxial homogeneously embedded. microstructural evolution could be divided into four stages: precipitation growth primary β-Ti phase, formation the binary β-Ti+TiB, ternary β-Ti+TiB+TiC, solid transformation from to α-Ti. Microhardness showed gradient variation surface (about HV0.2 876) bottom 660) prominently improved comparison with that substrate. Fracture toughness also exhibited (6.3 MPa·m1/2) interface (11.9 MPa·m1/2). Wear resistance significantly superior Ti6Al4V.
