摘要: In gemmalings of Riella helicophylla, auxin and ethylene stimulate elongation growth, especially pillar cells. When the two hormones are supplied simultaneously, effects additive, i.e. result is ‘supergrowth’. cells meristem, enhanced by auxin, but not when given alone. However, these also respond with ‘supergrowth’ to a combined treatment ethylene. The antiauxin p-chlorophenoxyisobutyric acid suppresses both stimulation cell growth additive results support concept that pre-conditions ethylene-dependent event. We suggest response elicited specific types could be related differences in their level endogenous auxin.
