Community and informal social support for recipients of child protective services

摘要: Abstract A qualitative study of parents receiving child protective services (CPS) was conducted to understand their experience with CPS involvement. Sixty-one from two agencies in Ontario, Canada, participated semistructured interviews lasting 1.5 2 h. grounded theory approach used find emergent themes the rich data, which included role formal and informal supports parents' lives. The findings indicate that social service organizations, places belonging community, friends, family are critical factors mitigating difficult life circumstances involved CPS.
