摘要: Sulfide (H2S/HS(-)) has been demonstrated to exert an astounding breadth of biological effects, some which resemble those nitric oxide (NO). While the chemistry, biochemistry and potential pathophysiology cross-talk between sulfide NO have received considerable attention lately, a comparable assessment implications interaction nitrite is lacking. This surprising inasmuch as not only known bioactive oxidation product NO, but also efficiently converted S-nitrosothiols in vivo; latter shown rapidly react with vitro, leading formation S/N-hybrid species including thionitrite (SNO(-)) nitrosopersulfide (SSNO(-)). Moreover, used potent remedy against poisoning clinic. The chemistry or related metabolites polysulfides elemental sulfur extensively studied past, yet much this information appears forgotten. In review, we focus on chemical biology sulfane molecules, calling fundamental properties reactivities either discuss their possible contribution biology, pharmacology toxicology both sulfide.
