Actin expression in trypanosomatids (Euglenozoa: Kinetoplastea)

摘要: Heteroxenic and monoxenic trypanosomatids were screened for the presence of actin using a mouse polyclonal antibody produced against entire sequence Trypanosoma cruzi gene, encoding 41.9 kDa protein. Western blot analysis showed that this reacted with polypeptide approximately 42 in whole-cell lysates parasites targeting mammals (T. cruzi, brucei Leishmania major), insects (Angomonas deanei, Crithidia fasciculata, Herpetomonas samuelpessoai Strigomonas culicis) plants (Phytomonas serpens). A single was detected T. cultured epimastigotes, metacyclic trypomastigotes amastigotes at similar protein expression levels. Confocal microscopy expressed throughout cytoplasm all tested trypanosomatids. These data demonstrate is widespread
