摘要: Publisher Summary Some polysaccharides in the cell walls of lignified plants are linked to lignin form lignin-carbohydrate complexes. The major obstacle characterization complexes is difficulty isolating these a homogeneous state. This chapter describes simple procedure developed for isolation and fractionation water-soluble from various types plants. purification step by solvent extraction usually carried out on l0 g crude complex. summarizes chemical properties (LCC-W) their subfractions bald cypress, birch, rice straw, selected as representative softwood, hardwood, grass, respectively. All unfractioned LCC-W composed 50–65% neutral sugar, 2–10% uronic acid, 24–45% lignin. W-2 fractions contain more than W-3 fractions, while rich carbohydrates.
