摘要: Layered double hydroxides (LDHs) are a family of high-profile layer materials with tunable metal species and interlayer spacing, herein the LDHs first investigated as bifunctional electrocatalysts. It is found that trinary LDH containing nickel, cobalt, iron (NiCoFe-LDH) shows reasonable performance, while exploiting preoxidation treatment can significantly enhance both oxygen reduction reaction evolution activity. This phenomenon attributed to partial conversion Co2+ Co3+ state in step, which stimulates charge transfer catalyst surface. The practical application optimized material demonstrated small potential hysteresis (800 mV for reversible current density 20 mA cm−2) well high stability, exceeding performances noble catalysts (commercial Pt/C Ir/C). combination electrochemical metrics facile cost-effective synthesis endows promising variety applications, such next-generation regenerative fuel cells or metal–air batteries.
