摘要: Nowadays, supply chains are exposed to various risks such as natural disasters and demand uncertainty which cause the flow of materials information be disrupted. The objective this paper is investigate role Reconfigurable Manufacturing System (RMS) responsiveness in harnessing chain disruptions changes demand. We consider a two echelon consisting production warehouse stage. A multi period mixed integer programming tool developed generate configurations defining capacities inventory levels for predetermined planning horizon. resulting configuration then simulated with subject random disruption scenarios need capacity increase. performance different compared identify design strategies. results show that there an optimum mix RMS Dedicated (DMS) minimizes total system costs.
