摘要: This paper presents a model for assessing different capacity scalability policies in Reconfigurable Manufacturing System (RMS) changing demand scenarios. The novelty of this approach is two fold: (1) it the first attempt to explore RMS based on multiple performance measures, mainly scaling rate, Work In Process level, inventory level and backlog level; (2) dynamic process modeled time using Dynamics. Different various scenarios were assessed. Numerical simulation results obtained developed showed that best policy be adopted dependent anticipated pattern as well manufacturing objectives. presented assessment will help planners better decide tradeoffs between competing strategic operational objectives enterprise, before setting suitable plan parameters.
