摘要: Objective: To present our experience of reconstruction the chest wall after sternectomy for high grade tumours. Design: Retrospective study. Setting: University hospital, Italy. Subjects: 18 patients who required Interventions: After wide resection tumour sternum and were reconstructed with polypropylene (Marlex) mesh mouldable titanium plates. Pedicled muscle flaps used to complete reconstruction. Main outcome measures: Morbidity, mortality, outcome. Results: The tumours chondrosarcomas ( n = 7); osteosarcomas, radiation-induced sarcomas, local recurrences breast cancer 2 each); angiosarcoma, Ewing sarcoma, liposarcoma, malignant fibrous histiocytoma, metastatic renal carcinoma 1 each).
