Oxidation kinetics of vanadium-bearing LD converter slag by mechanical activation

摘要: ABSTRACTA thermogravimetric investigation was performed to evaluate the kinetic and thermodynamic parameters influence of mechanical activation on oxidation vanadium-bearing LD (Linz–Donawitz) converter slag. Results indicate that particle size d0.5 significantly decreased from 29 μm 0.266 μm after activation, specific surface area based BET model increased 1.324 m2/g 3.289 mm2/g. Thermogravimetric investigations were separately at 650, 700, 750, 800, 850, 900, 950 1000°C. Two distinct stages in process identified. The first stage controlled by nucleation growth second 3D diffusion. However, relatively contributed more entire than stage.
