摘要: Abstract Laboratory experiments showed that individual growth rate of the deposit-feeding polychaete, Capitella capitata (type 1) can be predicted by organic nitrogen supply (ration) detritus to animals. The at which is available a deposit-feeder, whether sedimentation bottom, or decomposition otherwise undigestable components via microbial activity, production microbes themselves, important and not just concentrations limiting substrate different sources. Even so, portion total caloric content utilized deposit-feeder—approximated ‘available’ content—also contributes growth. However, usually low when low, as in case vascular plant detritus. Trophic transfer efficiency (net production/food supplied) measurement food chain calculated carbon units. If one interested comparing energy flow chains, then use these parameters appropriate; if efficiencies species, calculations must made using nutritional factors
