摘要: During the past 2 years, four papers describing new research studies and three reviewing literature were published. These seven address longstanding issues, including 1) presence or absence of cognitive impairment in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), 2) prevalence such within SLE related conditions (eg, antiphospholipid antibody syndrome, active vs inactive SLE), 3) specific pattern functions impaired possibility a "lupus-specific" pattern, 4) etiopathogenesis impairments potential role confounding factors as corticosteroid use depression, 5) longitudinal examining course SLE-related impairment. The review period also includes two using both static functional neuroimaging to identify relation between neuroanatomic neurophysiologic abnormalities patients with SLE. No Sjogren's syndrome identified.
