Effects of corruption on performance: Evidence from the UN-REDD Programme

摘要: Corruption is one of the major challenges to effectiveness REDD programs and should be addressed. In this paper we use a dynamic game model analyze effects corruption on performance programs, benefits stakeholders. Using panel data from 2010 2013 11 partner countries UN-REDD Programme countries, relationships between in are empirical analyzed. Empirical results confirm that an increase degree may lessen emissions reduction, leading decrease investment program. Following analysis, proposes to: (i) establish credible, transparent, efficient governance structure, (ii) develop fair transparent benefit-sharing mechanism, as well (iii) market mechanism avoid corruption.
