摘要: Purpose: In vivo effects of intermittent irradiation are influenced by recovery from sublethal damage (SLDR) and reoxygenation, so contribution the two factors were investigated using murine tumors. Methods materials: 1-cm-diameter SCCVII tumors growing in legs C3H/HeN mice used. First, 5 fractions 6 Gy given at intervals 2.5‐15 min compared an vivo‐in vitro assay, clamping tumor-bearing to exclude influence reoxygenation. second third experiments, changes hypoxic fraction 0‐15 after 13 or assessed a paired cell survival method. Fourth, 3‐10 under conditions limited reoxygenation growth delay assay. Results: Cell clamped tended increase with elongation intervals, but not significantly. The decrease 5‐15 level immediately irradiation. Effects on tumor intervals. Conclusions: Reoxygenation occurring within appeared compensate for SLDR When was limited, radiation effect occurred due SLDR. c 2007 Elsevier Ireland Ltd. All rights reserved.
