摘要: Abstract Aims Torsion of the spermatic cord is a common urologic emergency and can lead to testicular necrosis infertility. Diacerein (DIA) interleukin-1b (IL-1b) blocker which has protective role against myocardial ischemia-reperfusion, however, to-date this not been investigated in ischemia- reperfusion (TIR). We aimed investigate mechanism action DIA induced TIR. Main methods (50 mg/kg) was administered i.m (intramuscular) rats presence or absence Testicular weight changes serum testosterone total cholesterol levels were evaluated. In addition; level tissue reduced glutathione (GSH), malondialdehyde (MDA), nitrites (NOx) activity superoxide dismutase (SOD) measured. Histopathology interleukin1b immunoexpression Key findings TIR manifested by significant decrease weight, GSH SOD as well increase cholesterol, MDA NOx levels. showed histopathological marked damage with IL-1b immunoexpression. able normalize both attenuation oxidative stress parameters along amelioration IL-1 b immunostaining Significance effect injury mediated its anti-inflammatory anti-oxidant activities.
