摘要: This paper addresses the course, extent, and impacts of a windstorm that occurred on 20–21 December 1740, in Czech Lands. The analysis is based documentary data included chronicles, “books memory”, memoirs, damage reports, urbaria, cadastral records, as well secondary sources. started with thunderstorm afternoon 20 December, continued during night, was followed by flood. It also appeared from Bavaria, Thuringia, Saxony, Silesia, Slovakia, Hungary. event may be related to cyclone north-west territory moving east an intense western flow over central Europe. storm did great material houses, farm buildings, churches, forests recorded various sources for 85 places had significant influence development local plantation forestry (discussed greater detail). Judging territorial extent done, this windstorm, compared other similar events, has been classified “the eighteenth century” contribution demonstrates potential evidence elucidation heavy windstorms pre-instrumental period
