Single-feed dual-frequency rectangular microstrip antenna with a /spl pi/-shaped slot

摘要: A novel slotted rectangular microstrip antenna for dual-frequency operation is proposed. The fed by a single probe feed and has π-shaped slot embedded close to the patch's radiating edge. two operating frequencies have same polarisation planes similar broadside radiation characteristics. By varying lengths spacing of arms slot, proposed can tunable frequency ratio ranging from about 1.12 1.64. Simple semi-empirical formulas also been obtained. Details design experimental results are presented discussed.
