摘要: Protein engineering constitutes a powerful tool for generating novel proteins that serve as catalysts to induce selective chemical and biological transformations would not otherwise be possible. Protocols are commonly employed altering the substrate specificity selectivity profiles by mutating known enzymes include rational random methods well techniques entail evolution, selection screening. Proteins identified these play important roles in variety of industrial medicinal applications study protein structure-function relationships. Herein we present critical overview creating new functional having altered some practical case studies which have been applied solving problems synthetic chemistry elucidating enzyme function pathways.
