摘要: The modeling of collisions among particles in space plasma media poses a challenge for computer simulation. Traditional methods are able to model well the extremes highly collisional plasmas (MHD and Hall-MHD simulations) collisionless (particle-in-cell simulations). However, neither is capable trealing intermediate, semi-collisional regime. authors have invented new approach particle simulation called Quiet Monte Carlo Direct Simulation (QMCDS) that can, principle, treat with arbitrary arbitrarily varying collisionality. QMCDS method will be described, applications as 'proof principle' diffusion, hydrodynamics, radiation transport presented. Of particular interest community application kinetic modeling. A outlined, preliminary results simulations limit weak pitch-angle scattering
