摘要: The molecular crystal model of electrons coupled to Einstein phonons is studied as a function the two parameters: coupling constant A and ratio electron-phonon energy phonon energy, denoted by α. Both one-electron many-electron models are studied, starting (for former) from adiabatic limit latter) anti-adiabatic one. In “multiphonon” regime α>1, sharp crossover between quasi-free (λ≪1) small polarons (λ≫1) investigated, emphasizing anomalous lattice fluctuations which occur in intermediate (λ≈1).
