摘要: The size and distribution of mitral cells in the olfactory bulbs rats were determined using a computer-assisted morphometric technique. Rats reared from 2 weeks age for 10 an animal colony, or cages through which stream deodorized air cyclohexanone vapor passed. Statistical analyses indicated that each treatment produced different cell sizes coronal but not along rostrocaudal plane bulb. mean was substantially smaller than normal rats, length their layer less other groups. Overall, these findings indicate exposed to had been stimulated by this odor. Cells odor either experimental groups degenerating underdeveloped. results also suggest there are bands aligned axis bulb responsive specific odors evidence is presented supports view. functional significance exposure effects implications spatial coding quality discussed.
