摘要: Accumulating evidence shows that non-proteolytic functions of the proteasome are as crucial its well-known proteolytic function in regulating cellular activities. In our recent work, we showed 19S mediates heterochromatin spreading centromeric manner. However, involvement other regions remained largely unknown. present study, investigated role subtelomere and facultative regions. Using mutant, rpt4-1, show is involved silencing formation fission yeast. addition to this proteasome-related regulation, also observed a distinct pathway regulates through Paf1 complex subunit, Leo1. Our comparison two pathways revealed new group domains regulated exclusively by pathway. Taken together, findings reveal global regulation constitutive heterochromatin.
