摘要: The continuing desire to analyze complex biological samples with the minimum number of steps places high demands on increasing speed, dynamic signal range, quantitative capability and facility which mass spectrometers can interface chromatographic separation methods. Reliable identification metabolites in mixtures requires robust resolving power, accuracy, sensitivity while tandem MS is an invaluable tool for further structural characterization. This review begins a discussion key properties Orbitrap™ analyzer: resolution, fidelity isotope pattern abundancies range. main objective provide overview Orbitrap applications field bioanalysis. Specific areas drug metabolism, doping control food contaminants are discussed detail illustrating performance versatility analyzer.
