摘要: Abstract A new, simple and symmetric thiophene based Schiff base 1 as highly selective fluorescent sensor for Cu2+ ion detection in aqueous medium over other metal ions has been synthesized. Structure of the receptor was confirmed by single crystal X-ray diffraction spectroscopic techniques. Absorption emission spectra were used to study cation sensing properties. Receptor displays colorimetric response yellow colorless fluorescence “turn-on” property presence ion. 1- complex show 35 folds higher than that 1. Binding constant found 4.23 × 105 with limit 0.418 nM. Further recognition living cell achieved using fluoresce microscope. Theoretical calculations done support above findings.
