摘要: Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is characterized by upper airway collapse during sleep. syndrome (OSAS) defined as impairment of flow in addition to the presence excessive daytime sleepiness or other symptoms. OSAS present 4 % middle-aged men and 2 women. Risk factors for development OSA include male gender, increased age, obesity, a positive family history. Several contribute pathogenesis including anatomy, size, pharyngeal collapsibility, dilator muscle activity, ventilator control stability, rostral fluid shifts Currently, there no standardized public health screening program OSAS. Therefore, it estimated that majority patients remain undiagnosed. Simple tools are available can be effectively utilized primary care setting select at high risk OSA.
