摘要: Given the critical role of cell-mediated immunity (CMI) in defense against attack from pathogens that establish chronic infections, it has become abundantly clear current vaccine methodology will not be sufficient to develop appropriate immune response for protection and/or clearance infection. By extension, this logic also applies cancer vaccines where T cell immune-mediated destruction is a mechanism control disease. This review describes our thoughts on events associated with activation and evaluates various approaches achieve successful defined or targeted antigens as opposed using inactivated attenuated organisms. The advantages disadvantages adjuvants focus mimicking infection via innate system antigen uptake are described context generation specific responses. A central theme discussions importance cytokines modulating towards immunity, either by adjuvant modulation use natural cytokine mixtures site activation. Also discussed possibility thymomimetic agents such thymosin alpha1, levamisole methyl inosine monophosphate (MIMP) may useful enhancing mediated arm response.
