Effect of Foeniculum vulgare (fennel) on symptoms of depression and anxiety in postmenopausal women: a double-blind randomised controlled trial.

摘要: The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect Foeniculum vulgare (fennel) on anxiety and depression symptoms in postmenopausal women. This a double-blind, randomised, placebo-controlled trial, which 60 eligible women were selected then randomly assigned fennel placebo groups. Then, measured using Hospital Anxiety Depression Scale (HADS) Zung's Self Rating (SDS). Following intervention, score HADS (depression subgroups) SDS did not show any significant decrease sample under study. However, analysis patients with or disorder showed borderline improvement. Further studies larger size are required confirm findings.
