摘要: To evaluate the results of xenodiagnosis in chronic Chagas patients infected for ten years or over an area where transmission has been stemmed as well performance these tests applied one more times to determine presence paraiste serum-positive Trypanosoma cruzi infection, 570 were performed 246 by exoposing each pacient 40 Triatoma infestans nymphs 3 rd/4th stage once, twice three times, at 30 days intervals. The showed overall positive 50.7% with a peak 78% under 20 age, and 60.5% those 60. Of l58 who underwent xenodiagnosis, 51 (32.3%) had tests, 48 (30.3%) all negative results, remainder alternating positve findings. There was no difference number between 1st, 2nd 2rd tests; however, 1st trials added up 53.2% sum total 57.7%.
