摘要: In this study, we have analysed the epidemiological significance of concurrent infections caused by Vibrio cholerae and intestinal parasites among different age groups hospitalized diarrhoeal patients in Kolkata. A total 3556 stool samples collected during 1996-2004 were screened for vibrios parasites. The seasonality V. parasitic studied detail. detection rates Ascaris lumbricoides Giardia lamblia infection more than hookworm, Trichuris trichiura Entamoeba histolytica. O1 was identified as predominant serogroup patients. highest 2-5 years group combined recorded children aged between 2 10 years.
