摘要: Purpose: Severe eye burns occur rarely, but are related to a poor prognosis in rehabilitation. As emergency treatment has been identified as decisive factor for the of burns, new first aid rinsing solutions should be considered carefully their clinical action. In approach, drug Diphoterine ® was subjected comparison with saline solution evaluate effects model severe burns. Methods: double-masked experiment 16 rabbits underwent burn one cornea followed by immediate 0.9% sodium–chlorine (n = 8) or 8). During days after burn, an irrigation therapy three times daily 160 ml applied both groups following recommendation prolonged performed our clinic. similar setup, eyes were alkali measurements aqueous humor pH within 30 s and period 5 min 500 , respectively. Results: The result opaque groups. no fibrin precipitates occurred rinsed group whereas this detectable all solution. After there difference between indicating harmful effect compared 0.9%. 1N NaOH specified anterior chamber 10 ± 0 9.35 0.3 showing efficacy buffering capacity . Conclusion: proves efficient primary could lowered rinsing. No observed course cornea. © 2002 Elsevier Science Ltd ISBI. All rights reserved.
