摘要: Experience modifies synaptic connectivity through processes that involve dendritic spine rearrangements in neuronal circuits. Although cAMP response element binding protein (CREB) has a key function spines changes, its role activity-dependent brain regions of rodents interacting with the surrounding environment received little attention so far. Here we studied effects vibrissae trimming, widely used model sensory deprivation-induced cortical plasticity, on associated barrel cortex transgenic mouse CREB downregulation (mCREB mice). We found deprivation prolonged whisker trimming leads to an increased number thin layer V related (Contra) wild type but not mCREB mice. In field controlling spared whiskers (Ipsi), same protocol results CREB-dependent enlargement spines. Last, demonstrated regulates structural synapses associate dynamic changes Our findings suggest plays dynamics and circuits account for new environment.
