摘要: Abstract This work presents a novel negative Poisson's ratio honeycomb design composed by two parts (a re-entrant hexagonal component and thin plate part) that provide separate contributions to the in-plane out-of-plane mechanical properties. The hexagons ratio, compliance compressive strength, while part connecting section bears large flexibility. paper focuses on properties of auxetic cellular structure. Theoretical models related uniaxial tensile modulus, shear ratios have been built validated using finite element techniques. behavior has also investigated against geometrical parameters unit cell parametrical analysis. theoretical numerical illustrate good agreement show potential its application in morphing structures. We benchmark configuration proposed this topologies from open literature.
