摘要: Migrant populations have been found to be at risk of HIV/AIDS. The growth in immigrant and migrant Hispanic the United States increases need enhance understanding influences on their HIV-risk behaviors. Four challenges conducting research among these were identified: (1) use multilevel theoretical frameworks; (2) differentiate between subgroups; (3) recruitment data collection;, (4) ethical issues. This article describes how two studies immigrants migrants New York area addressed challenges. One study focused new from Mexico, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Honduras Guatemale, a second Puerto Rican drug users. Both incorporated qualitative quantitative methods hard-to-reach populations. Continued sociocultural contextual factors affecting HIV for mobile populations, addressing challenges, is crucial developing effective intervention programs.
