摘要: p53 is a cellular protein whose expression plays crucial role in the regulation of cell proliferation and neoplastic processes. mRNA levels mouse fibroblasts can be elevated response to TPA serum stimulation. The promoter region gene contains conserved element which highly homologous consensus AP1 binding site (7/8 matching bases). This AP1-like site, denoted PF1 confers upon heterologous ability respond c-jun. Furthermore, binds protein(s) specific serum-induced manner. Unexpectedly, this factor most probably not AP1, as evident from inability an authentic compete efficiently, well failure purified bind site. Hence, may novel AP1-related transcription factor. In addition, 5' also NF1 location suggests possible regulatory role.
