摘要: Design, setting, participants: This paper is a review article that collects and synthesizes up-to-date information about the practice of augmenting combining medications in regards to treatment resistant major depressive disorder. The authors have written an evidence-based model order show reader where adequate data exists these strategies. A thorough MEDLINE search was utilized collect many papers dedicated this area study spanning 1989-2005. Measurements: Papers were divided based upon drug intervention scientific merit, randomized controlled trials given most weight case studies least. Results: literature into augmentation combination strategies descending stringency. For augmentation, lithium, antipsychotic, thyroid addition has empirical support. strategies, heterocyclic best studied. Conclusion: There much regarding complex medication management depression generally supportive practice. However, contains underpowered uncontrolled studies.
