摘要: Introduction Loss of more than 500 mL blood following childbirth is usually caused by failure the uterus to contract fully after delivery placenta, and occurs in over 10% deliveries, with a 1% mortality rate worldwide. Other causes postpartum haemorrhage include retained placental tissue, lacerations genital tract, coagulation disorders. Uterine atony likely women who have had general anaesthetic or oxytocin, an over-distended uterus, prolonged precipitous labour, are high parity.
