摘要: Background: Propofol is the most commonly used induction agent, but causes pain on injection in many patients. Various techniques have been tried and tested for reducing due to propofol with different results. Objective: To compare use of pretreatment granisetron comparison lignocaine injection. Patients Methods: 104 patients (ASA I-II) posted elective surgeries under general anesthesia were randomized into two groups managed as follows: Group G: 2ml (1mg/ml) granisetron, group L; 2% using tourniquet followed by (20mg) assessment was done a independent observer graded either severe, moderate, mild or no according response injection. Results: In incidence 21.2% compared 46.2% group. Conclusion: Pretreatment more effective relieving than granisetron.
