摘要: In this letter a nonlinear equation method based on effective-medium approximation is presented to calculate the band structure of photonic crystal slabs. At definite wave vector, normalized frequency inversely proportional effective refractive index crystals. Effective-medium used indices two dimensional crystals and slab. The corresponding relation between slab that given by equation. Through equation, three slabs problems are simplified as simulations. results agree very well with those finite-difference time-domain calculation much faster.
