摘要: Calcination is a thermo-chemical process, widely used in the cement industry, where limestone converted by thermal decomposition into lime CaO and carbon dioxide CO2. The focus of this paper on implementation validation endothermic calcination reaction mechanism commercial finite volume based CFD code. This code to simulate turbulent flow field, temperature concentrations reactants products, as well interaction particles with gas phase, solving mathematical equations, which govern these processes. For calcination, effects temperature, pressure, diffusion pore efficiency were taken account. A simple three-dimensional geometry pipe reactor was for numerical simulations. To verify accuracy modelling approach, predictions compared experimental data, yielding satisfying results proper trends physical parameters influencing process.
