Characterization of atypical virtual campus usage behavior through robust generative relevance analysis

摘要: Virtual campus environments are fastly becoming a mainstream alternative to traditional distance higher education. The Internet medium they use convey content, also allows the gathering of information on students' online behaviour. knowledge extracted from this can be used fit educational proposal needs and requirements. In study, we introduce novel model that is capable detecting atypical usage behavior cluster structure users virtual campus, while neutralizing negative impact outliers clustering process. This simultaneously assess relative relevance individual variables users. Experiments carried out available data indicate behaviour identified interpreted in terms those which best at explaining discriminating their different typologies.
