摘要: Phylogenomics aims to describe evolutionary relatedness between organisms by analyzing genomic data. The common practice is produce phylogenomic trees from molecular information in the sequence, order, and content of genes genomes. These phylogenies evolution life become valuable tools for taxonomy. recent availability structural functional data hundreds genomes now offers opportunity study using more deep, conserved, reliable sets features. Here, we reconstruct functions proteins. We start inferring rooted networks directly Gene Ontology annotations. Phylogenies yield novel insights into emergence cellular life. ancestor Archaea originated earlier than ancestors Bacteria Eukarya was thermophilic. In contrast, basal bacterial lineages were non-thermophilic. A close relationship Plants Metazoa also identified that disagrees with traditional Fungi-Metazoa grouping. Our results indicate functionomic represent a useful addition set used tree reconstruction carry deep branches considerable predictive power explain living organisms.
