摘要: Thirty-five patients with Type 1 (insulin-dependent) diabetes mellitus and 90 normal subjects had renal size (renal area index) determined by X-ray also examination of biopsies light electron microscopy. Renal index 206±32 cm2/1.73 m2 (mean±SD) in the diabetic exceeded that (180±25 m2, p<0.001). In patients, correlated creatinine clearance (r=+0.43, p<0.05), but did not correlate urinary albumin excretion, or microscopic measurements percentage total mesangium glomerular basement membrane width. clinical nephropathy severe glomerulopathy on biopsy, kidneys may remain large. Thus, does indicate severity lesions biopsy.
